How I Feel About Net Book

This is the first year that we have net books at our school and to be able to connect the net. This was a good opportunity to show that Point England can look after our net books. We also got permission to take them home.

What I liked about having a net book is that I have improved in math,reading and writing and also that its fast to seek info about history. I really like that we got a nice princeble and he trusted us to take them home and not get dented.

One thing I don't like is that some people cheat them self by using calculator.I'm getting smarter than last year to compare it I was in the second lowest in all group but now I'm in the top group for my maths,second in my reading and I think I need to work on my writing. I would recommend net books to all schools in Auckland.

I really like that we got net books because it helped me with learning.

"Trick or treat"as I said to the stranger at the door as I was hoping for lollies.  If you don't no what halloween its when you dress up as your favorite monster on the October 31.  I dressed up like a maskaray and I got lots of lollies.

World Cup Final

Oooooo! The score was 7 to the french and 8 to us.  As I was watching the last 5 minutes left in the game and the french had the ball it was really close.  I was so pumped up to say go the all blacks as I was on the edge of the seat at the hospital for my casein. At the end of the game the all blacks won the game and the doctors  came to watch the game as well.

Problem Solving

This morning we got a team challenge my partners for this team challenge was Vaha and Lepa.  We got items on a green card and a problem on a yellow card.  Our items was a rock, spade can opener, light and a pair of glasses.  The problem we had was that we had a leak in the tent and we had to stop it.

Our way to solve it was a fail because it just made it worst.  We said that we would to put the lens from the glasses and used some of the string of the tent and made two more heads to put the string in but it made worst because it made two more holes.

The Last Few Weeks Or So

Have you been in a production?  I have in a mater of fact I'm in a production today on October the fourth.  The last days of the term came fast.  I think the last week is going to be fun.All the things we do now that miss is bissy is free time on our net book.

The last week of school the people that wernt in the production had been moved all over the place so it has been a bit of a disappointing for them.  The way I felt about this week is that I have really enjoyed my have a good week.

This week was the best week of school for me so far and I thank my teacher for giving this week to us.

This is a web site named MathWizz to improve our math skills right now I'm working on division. I think it good because you can  have fun and learn at the same time.

                            Today we were doing a black out day to support the All Blacks.
                            Black out is when you wear black just like the All Blacks.
                            We hope they win the world cup. GO ALL BLACKS!!!!

“Good luck year 8’s!” As the boys travelled in a van to Tauranga.  

In term three the year 8 rugby team went to the aims games tournament down Tauranga.  The aims game is declaring who the intermediate champions of the the whole of New Zealand. They were also the Auckland champions.

This was exciting for the rugby team and the school because it was the first time we entered the aims game tournament.  As they played their games, the teachers told us whether they won or lost.

The first team they versed was Cambridge, I thought that they were going to win a few games and lose some but I was wrong.  They won all their games and came out on top.  I think they won because they worked as a team.  
I feel proud of them because now we're New Zealands best intermediate Sevens team.

Year 7 And 8 Fun Day

Have you have a fun day at your school? Our year seven and eights did. After morning tea we got changed in to our P E cloths and started to walk to the bottom field ,and at the bottom field we saw room 19,20 and 21 getting ready. The teachers were in charge of the games. Most of us were excited.

We started with our teachers game. The game she was doing was when you have to flick the ball in to a hope with a fling shot It was really hard only two people got it in Miss T and Ben. Then we went to another game with Mr Harris. His game was interesting it was like walking with an egg and 3 leg race mixed together. Lepa and me got in to a final race but we didn't get a final race.

Splash! the next game was a wet game it was a game of up and under and instead of over it was side wards. The rules were you had to but the sponge in the water so it soaks up the water and pass it under your legs and side ways. At the end there was a bucket when the last person gets it he squeezes it our team won first and the blue team won the next round.

The last game was with Miss Langitopo it was really fun. It was like tag and net ball but combined together it was really, really, really fun. This time our team won all of a single game. I think this was my favorite game out of all the games that day. Then we ended the day with a water fight.

Multiple Intelligence Pie Chart

This pie chart represents my multiple intelligence results, there are lots of intelligences like bodily/kinethetics interpersonal and lots more.
My strengths are musical , interpersonal and bodily/kinethetic. I have to work on my verbal/linguistic Intelligence..

This term were learning about rugby world cup, the country that we are steadying about Namibia,Ireland,Russia and Tonga.

Design Process

Room 22 identified a problem now we are trying to modify the street with some furniture so people respect it. I really like this project because we get some cool staff in the street that we made.

before we got to make a prototype we had to do the design process the first thing we had to do was to find a problem that was that wasn't having furniture ,research on the problem. I don’t really like the thinking part,but I’m trying to get a good report.

Now we are on to making a prototype we have to measure the approximate to the actual size but smaller. Our prototype is parity practical because its a bag holder. I can visualize on the wall because it looks like so real.

Rugby League Session

On Wednesday 22 of June Room 22 had our very first league session with a person apart of the Vodafone Warriors squad (Sio Siua Takeiaho).

I really like the relays. The first thing we did was relays we had to step the cones and sprint back then the other person would go. The reason why I like it was because we got tied at the end and the last team that comes last had to do 5 pries ups. But our team mostly came last. I didn't like it but that's that.

he session we did was fun because we had a cool game curd kicking tennis.The rules were you weren't aloud to drop the ball and if the ball touches the ball the ground closes to you your out.We had three games because it was so fun, then the session came to an end.Now I cant wait tell next time we have the session.

My over all feeling of the session was that we had fun. What sport do like?

Science Road Show

On the 9 of June room 22 walked to Tamaki college because of a science road show so we have more information on creativity and more ideas for our topic bigger better faster stronger and for our design on signs. We were split in to groups of 4 so we don’t get lost. It was an incredible sight.

One of the shows experiments was about senses. The senses that they experimented with were hearing,smelling,seeking,feeling and tasting. The sense I like the most was the looking and hearing. What sense do you like out of hearing, smelling, seeking, feeling or tasting?

The best bit of the science show was the inventions because we got to try them out. I really like the Braille invention because it gave me an idea of how hard it is to read with our fingers. There were really cool ones like a huge piano that you can play with you feet and fruit perfume that really smells like fruit.

A Tangrame

This is a post about a Tangram. A Tangram is a number of shapes that make up a picture like a boat or a cat. The Tangram is made of 2 large triangles, 1 medium triangle, 2 little triangles, 1 parallelogram and a square. When it is put together, they form a big square. When you separate the 7 shapes, it is called a Tan.

Toanga Time

Taonga time are activities that we attended on Friday in middle block. Only the year 7 and 8’s do Taonga time. We do it for a whole term. The word Taonga means a treasure like a green stone or a charm. So we used the word Taonga time to explain the teacher’s passion, for instance Mr J likes music so were doing a music video.

So the activity’s we get to do are Kapa Haka, its a Maori cultural song or dance. There is sports, at sports we practice tackling or techniques like passing or kicking a ball at a target and there’s different activities like team building,music,art and science. My group is music with Mr J in music room Its really fun!

I like Taonga time because we get to do activities that I enjoy. If you got to do an activity what would you do?

Netball

Room 22 have been learning some netball skills like drills and stretches. We have been doing it at the junior court. While we were waiting for the instructor Emmas, we got ready by sitting down on the grass.

The first thing we did was dynamic stretches. The first stretch was high knees, that’s when you jog and make your knees go as high as you can. The second stretch was butt flicks and but flicks is kicking your butt with your own feet.our last stretch was the grape vine, that’s the hardest stretch we did. Can you imagine how hard it is?

The thing I really liked was corner ball. Corner ball is like net ball but you need to pass it to the person in the corner to get a goal.The key to win this game is to spread out. The reason why you need to spread out is because everyone mostly is in one place.

Creativity

In room 22 we have been learning about creativity. Creativity is using your head. I think creativity is turning different and imaginative ideas to life. Creative was two things needed to do,thinking, then producing. Our class had to do our name in a creative way and this is my peace of art.

my report

One of the best things I was pleased with this term was my artwork. The reason why I was pleased of my artwork was because I scored 11/12 in my rubric. I also gained excellence for my work habits, behaviour and academic progress. I feel really proud of myself!

The thing I need to improve from last term is my homework. I need to work on finishing and remembering to bring my homework in. I'm going to work my hardest to complete my homework at a high standard. What do you think I can do to make my homework better?

Overall I felt blessed except for my homework. I was proud about it because it was an improvement compered from last year. So I’m going to try my hardest to make this term a good term. What will you try to make this term a term?
